Sir Robert Arbuthnot, 6th Baronet Life story
Upon the death of his father he succeeded as the 6th Baronet Arbuthnot, of Edinburgh [U.K., 1823] on 31 March 1941. He fought in the Second World War gaining the rank of Major in the 24th Lancers. Service No. 88177. Tragically he was Killed in Action in Normandy, France on 30 June 1944 at the age of 24.
