Simon De Jong Life story
Simon Leendert De Jong was an Indonesian-born Canadian parliamentarian. He was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1979 federal election as a New Democratic Party Member of Parliament from Saskatchewan. He would spend five terms and 18 years in the House of Commons.
