Sigma Pi Phi is the first successful and oldest African-American Greek-lettered organization. Sigma Pi Phi was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 15, 1904. The fraternity quickly established chapters in Chicago, Illinois and then Baltimore, Maryland.
