About Shooting Stars


Presented by surreal double act Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, this long-running quiz show has garnered a reputation for its weird, silly and off-the-wall humour since its inception in 1993. In other words, it's considered one of the great BBC panel games in history! In its basic format, Reeves and Mortimer ask questions of two teams, which consist of a celebrity team captain and two celebrity guests. comedian Eddie Large , best known for being a part of the Double Act Little and Large , have died with coronavirus.

The Star , 78, was a familiar face on television in the 1970s and 80s, and became famous for his collaboration with Syd Little .

His Family confirmed The News "with great sadness" on Facebook, said that he had to suffer with congestive Heart Failure and contracted The Virus in the hospital.

Little said he was "devastated" by The News . "He was sick for a while, but if it happens, it hits you," He Said .

"We were together for 60 years," he told BBC Radio Lancashire. "It was like being with a partner. We were friends. "

The Comedian of The Family said she was unable to visit him, the voice in the hospital due to restrictions around the coronavirus, "but all of The Family and Close Friends to him Every Day ".

"We will miss him terribly, and We Are so proud of everything he has achieved in his career with Syd and know that he was Much Loved by the millions that watched them every week. "
