Shawn mendes was born in toronto. Ontario. Canada. On august 8. 1998. He is of britsih and portuguese descent. His father. Manuel. Is a businessman. And his mother. Karen. Is a real estate agent. Shawn has two younger siblings. Aaliyah and austin. From an early age. Shawn showed an interest in music and began playing the guitar at age 13. He also attended music classes at the age of 10.

Musical Career

Shawn began posting covers of popular songs on the video-sharing site vine in 2013. His videos gained a lot of attentiona. Nd soon he was signed to island records. His debut single. "life of the party," was released in 2014 and reached number 24 on the us billboadr hot 100 chart. Since then. Shawn has released four successful studio albums: handwritten (2015). Illuminate (2016). Shawn mendes (2018). And wonder (2020). He has also won several awards. Including the american music award for favorite male artist in 2018 and the mtv europe music award for best artist in 2019.
