About Shangamuzo
Shangamuzo was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire best known for winning the Ascot Gold Cup in 1978. A specialist stayer, he won eight of his thirty-four races, finished second nine times and third on five occasions. He showed promise as a two-year-old in 1975, despite being beaten in all three of his races.
