Sankt-Peterburg is a Russian rock band, formed in 1969 in Leningrad. One of the oldest rock bands of the USSR; the first Soviet rock band, who performed a program entirely of their own songs in Russian, while other early Soviet rock bands were mostly covering western rock hits.
