Samuel Pegge Life story
Samuel Pegge the elder was an English antiquary and clergyman. Born at Chesterfield, Derbyshire, he was the son of Christopher Pegge and his wife Gertrude, daughter of Francis Stephenson of Unstone, near Chesterfield.
