Ryuji Tanaka Life story
Ryuji Tanaka was a Japanese artist known for his reinterpretation of Nihonga or traditional Japanese painting. He was a member of two Japanese post-war avantgarde groups: Pan-real Art Association and the Gutai Art Association. Tanaka enrolled at the Kyoto Municipal School of Painting in 1944 to study Nihonga.
