Roger Prideaux, Of Soldon Life story
Roger Prideaux, third son of Humphrey Prideaux of Theuborough, was born about 1523. He became the heir of his uncle Nicholas Prideaux, inheriting the manors of Soldon in Holsworthy, Devon and Padstow in Padstow, Cornwall. He married Philippa Yorke, widow of Richard Parker, about 1548.
