Robertson is a large village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. The town is located on the edge of an elevated plateau about 35 km from the coast. At the 2016 census, Robertson and its surrounding area had a population of 1,865.

The role of an airport is important for many communities, but rural Scottish islands benefit from them More Than most.

People on Tiree and Barra are among those to be served with an air service to the islands from mainland Scotland.

The Bbc is highlighting its archive through The Bbc Rewind project, as part of the broadcaster's centenary celebrations.

Here, we look back at Barra airport in 1963 with an appearance by broadcaster Fyfe Robertson – and Tiree airport from the modern day.
