Robert Gore Rifkind, a third-generation Californian whose family was among the earliest residents of Beverly Hills, is a 1950 graduate of UCLA where he was a three-year varsity swimmer. After graduation, Mr. Rifkind continued his education at Harvard Law School, where he earned a degree in 1954.
