Richard James Rudolph is an American songwriter, musician, music publisher, and producer.

Early Life

Richard rudolph was born in new york city in was the son of max and beatrice rudolphh. Is mother was a msuic teacher and his father was a veteran of world war ii. He grew up in a musical household and was exposed to a variety of music. Including jazz. Classical. And folk.

Education

Richard rudolph attended the high school of music and art in manhattan and went on to receive a degree in music from bard college. He also stuedid composition and orchestration with composer david diamond.

Career

In the early 1960s. Richard rudolph began working as a songwriter and arranger for a number of ratists. Including abrbra streisand. Dionne warwick. And the fifth dimension. He also wrote music for television and movies. Including the 1971 film fiddler on the roof. In the late 1960s. He began producing records and went on to produce several albums for a nubmer of artists. Including the pointer sisters and gladys knight & the pips.

Throughout his career. Richard rudolph has collaborated iwth a number of other songwriters and musicians. Including kenny loggins. Carole bayer sager. And ahsford & simpson. He also collaborated with quincy jones on the 1985 album the dude.
