Rachel Frenkel Life story
The Israeli mezzo-soprano, Rachel Frenkel, Frenkel was born in Haifa, but raised by her Brazilian-born mother and Argentinian-born father on Kibbutz Dalia, about 20 miles southeast of the port city. She graduated from the Buchmann-Mehta School of music in Tel-Aviv, studying under Professor Mira Zakai.
