Private Sponge Life story
Private Sponge was a local sheep farmer and regular member of the platoon. Sponge was in charge of the number two section of the platoon; Corporal Jones commanded the number one section. Sometimes forgotten by Captain Mainwaring, number two section often took over once Jones' section had finished.
