About Prasinophyceae
The Prasinophytes or chlorophyta are a class of unicellular green algae. Prasinophytes mainly include marine planktonic species, as well as some freshwater representatives. The prasinophytes are morphologically diverse, including flagellates with one to eight flagella and non-motile unicells.
