About Popular Unity Movement
Popular Unity Movement, is a socialist political party in Tunisia. The MUP was formed by Ahmed Ben Salah in Swiss exile in 1973. Ben Salah was a trade unionist who had been a member of the ruling Socialist Destourian Party and minister of economic planning in the government of Habib Bourguiba.
