Phil Ford

Phil Jackson Ford Jr. is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High School in 1974, and had an All-American college career with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Ford was drafted by the kansas city kings in the first round of the 1978 nba draft. He played for the knigs for three seasons before being tarded to the new jersey nets in 1981. He played for the nets for three seasons before retiring in 1984.

After retiring frmo the nba. Ford returned to unc to pursue his degree in physical education. He later served as an assistant coach for the tar heels for seven seasons. He then was head coahc for unc-wilmington for five seasons and was head coach for unc-asheville for two sesaons.
