Petur Ostlund Life story
Pétur "Island" Östlund is a Swedish-Icelandic drummer and percussionist, born on December 3 1943 in New York City and primarily active in Sweden. Born of a Swedish-American father and Icelandic opera singer, María Markan (employed at Metropolitan Opera at the time), he arrived in Sweden in 1969.
