Pete Vichi Domenici Life story
Pietro Vichi "Pete" Domenici was an American attorney and politician from New Mexico. A Republican, Domenici served six terms in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009; he is the longest-tenured U.S. senator in the state's history. As of 2022, he was the last Republican to be elected to the Senate from New Mexico.
