Pete Herman Life story
Pete Herman was one of the all-time great bantamweight world champions. An American of Italian heritage and descent, Herman was born Peter Gulotta in New Orleans, Louisiana, and fought from 1912 until 1927. He retired with a record of 69 wins, 11 losses, 8 draws and 61 no-decisions in 149 bouts.
