Percival Augustus Hillary Life story
Percival was born in 1885. He was the son of Edmund Hillary and Annie Fleming. He was nicknamed "Stickybeak" by his peers. He was a journalist in earlier years. Lance Corporal Hillary served in the NZ Army during the 1st World War (Service number 12/1432) and was badly wounded at Gallipoli.
