Paul Gillespie

Paul Allen Gillespie was a Major League Baseball catcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1942, 1944, and 1945. A native of the Sugar Valley Community in Bartow County, Georgia, he stood 6 ft 3 in and weighed 195 lbs. Gillespie is one of many ballplayers who only appeared in the major leagues during World War II.
