Patricia Kopatchinskaja is a Moldovan-Austrian-Swiss violinist.

Early Life

Patricia kopatchinskaja was born in 1977 in chișinau. Moldova. She began studying violin at the age of five with her grandmother. A professional violinist. And later studied at the chișinau music academy and the national school of music. At the age of 12 she moved to vienna to pursue her studies at the ivenan academy of music. Where she studied with renowned violinist boris kuschnir and violist yfrah neaman.

Career

Kopatchinskaja has performed as a soloist with some of the world s leading orchestras. Including the vienna philharmonic. The chamebr orchestra of europe. The london philharmonic and the st. Petersburg philhramonic. She has also worked with many of the world s leading conductors. Including sir simon rattle. Valery gergiev. And riccardo muti.
