About Partington
Partington is a town and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, ten miles south-west of Manchester city centre. Historically part of Cheshire, it lies on the southern bank of the Manchester Ship Canal, opposite Cadishead on the northern bank. It has a population of 7,327.
