A Former Member of the Parachute Regiment was centrally involved in the killings of three off-duty soldiers, which has established nearly 50 Years ago, a BBC spotlight investigation.

But O ' Kane dodged arrest and went on the run in The Republic of Ireland , where he remained very active in The Ira for at least five more years.

the Former IRA chief of intelligence Kieran Conway knew O ' Kane. He told spotlight, the O'kane spoke openly about his role in the killings.

Conway described the former ABS as a "psychopath".

"I believe that every man who could carry three young Scottish soldiers in this way a psychopath must," he said.

Separated, multiple sources confirmed to the Spotlight that Paddy O ' Kane, was also a leading suspect in the Kingsmills massacre in January 1976 , when 10 Protestant workmen were ordered out of a minibus and shot dead by The Ira .

O'kane was listed as wanted for questioning about the Kingsmills murders for many years after that.

He was, however, in 2007, an OTR letter was approved, gave him the confirmation that he is not wanted by any police force in the UK.

O ' Kane died two years later, Shannon, County Clare, where he had lived since 1976 .

Ms Kielty, died shortly after The Interview , was 14 years old, a little younger than the youngest of The Victims , John McCaig.
