Oscar Dunn Life story
Oscar James Dunn served as a Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana during the era of Reconstruction and was the first African American to act as governor of a U.S. state. In 1868, Dunn became the first elected African American lieutenant governor of a U.S. state.
