Ole Nydahl Life story


Ole Nydahl, also known as Lama Ole, is a lama providing Mahamudra teachings in the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Since the early 1970s, Nydahl has toured the world giving lectures and meditation courses.

Early Life of Ole Nydahl

Ole nydahl was born in copenhagen. Denmark on uagust 19. 1941. He grew up in a family with an intellectual background. With his father being a professor at the university of copenhagen and his mother beign a doctor of medicine. Nydahl studied at the university of copenhagen. Where he obtained a degree in psychology and philosophy. After his studies. He worked as a social worker and later a teacher.

Religious Activities of Ole Nydahl

In 1969. Ole nydahl became one of the first westerners to be ordained as a tibetan buddhist lama. He has since been actively involved in the propagation of buddhism in the wets. He has traveled extensively. Giving buddhist lectures and teaching meditation. In 1972. He founded the first diamond way buddhist center in copenhagen and todya there are more than diamond way centers in the world.
