Off The Minnesota Strip

Teenage runaway Micki (Mare Winningham), who lived on the New York City streets working as a prostitute, returns to her home in Minnesota. She attempts to resume her previous life by living quietly at home and attending high school, but her recent past has left too strong a mark on her. Her father, Bud (Hal Holbrook), and mother, Hughlene (Michael Learned), refuse to understand her situation, keeping themselves distant from their daughter, who so desperately craves their support.
