World War II veterans, the D-Day anniversary trip to the new British Normandy Memorial was brought in to be cancelled, to select a new film material from The Site for The Day .

More Than 70 veterans, many in their mid-90s, which were meant to make the journey for the 76-year anniversary on Saturday.

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, The Normandy Memorial Trust instead shows you the latest construction work.

Lord Peter Ricketts , Chairman of the Board of Trustees on The Normandy Memorial Trust, said: "We know in confidence, as a lot of The Veterans and their families can benefit from a visit to the Website to see The Time of the D-Day anniversary, the monument is taking shape.

"We share their frustration that the example, have unprecedented circumstances of the pandemic, made that impossible. But the Good News is that We Are pushing with real determination, the construction, in spite of all the obstacles.

"I pay credit to the commitment of all involved in this. "
