About Nichelino
The commuter town of Nichelino is close to the spectacular, largely rococo Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, a monumental hunting lodge begun for the Savoy kings in the early 18th century. Designed by Filippo Juvarra, it's filled with fresco-adorned, stucco-and-gilt apartments. Decorative arts are on display in the palace's Museum of Art and Furniture. Parco Boschetto's cycle paths run along the River Sangone.
