Packed Over 30,000 people, a stadium in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, for The State funeral of the country's longest-serving President Daniel arap Moi, who died last week at the age of 95.

Instead of grief, a lot of lives in The Crowd celebrated Mr Moi's.

He was a Central figure which dominates the Kenyan policy during His 24-year presidency.

critics saw him as an authoritarian ruler, while the allies credited to him for the maintenance of stability.

Mr Moi hard against the opposition after a failed coup in 1982.

Before he left office in 2002, he asked forgiveness for "those whom he had wronged".

the mourners gathered at the Nyayo National Stadium from before sunrise to pay their respects, some of them traditional regalia.

Mr Moi's supporters say he stood for peace and stability

Mr Moi's entourage arrived in the stadium, flanked by long lines of red-coated soldiers and a brass Band playing marching music and Christian songs.

President Uhuru Kenyatta called on Mr Moi, "the father of our nation, the champion of Pan-Africanism".

Mr Moi ruled Kenya from 1978 until 2002

Mr Moi's son Gideon Moi , remembered him as "A Man with a elefantösen memory and a compassionate heart".

"He loved meat, and nothing could come between him and the meat, even though The Doctors warned him," Gideon Moi said.

'Moi would like His funeral,'

Mr Moi was a champion of the order, he would have loved His state funeral, where he was accorded full military honors.

had draped His coffin in The Flag of Kenya and was drawn on a gun carriage, in a tradition borrowed from The British . Sharp-dressed, high-ranking officers of the military marched through Nairobi, led by a colorful Band .

Mr Moi, Kenya's second President, took office after Jomo Kenyatta died

heads of state and government from all over Europe and beyond attended The Funeral . Mr Moi played a significant role in the region.

When the war broke out in neighbouring States, especially in Somalia, Sudan and Uganda - he opened Kenya to the doors of the refugees and the peace negotiations.

Mr Moi was praised for peace, at home, in a region shaken by instability.

Many of the tens of thousands of mourners in the stadium, reminded Mr Moi with nostalgia. They sang together songs from The Past , to praise him.

she remembered His enduring legacy in the Education - to gain commitment for the construction of schools and universities around the country, and the free distribution of milk to children from poor areas in the school.

But there are those who criticize him for the brutal crackdown on dissent. His fiercest critics were imprisoned, often without trial, and tortured. Some of them are now mitigated.

they joined the mourners in the tribute to the deceased leader. Those who have not paid tribute to have been Quiet , perhaps out of fear of a backlash in a country that frowned upon where to speak ill of The Dead .

Kenya's main opposition leader Raila Odinga , was accused of treason and detention without trial for Six Years when Mr Moi's rule, said the ex-President had "weaknesses".

However, Mr Moi was an "independence hero", and the two of them had said peace, Mr Odinga.

The Ex-President loved and loathed in equal measure

The Funeral comes after Mr Moi's body lay in state for Three Days at the Parliament buildings. Tens of thousands of people had queued to see His body.

He will be buried on Wednesday at His home in Kabarak, 220 km (130 miles) North-West of Nairobi.
