About Nakasu
On an island in Hakata Ward, Nakasu is a neon-lit entertainment quarter packed with lively nightclubs, izakaya pubs, karaoke parlors, and gaming arcades. Steamed buns and grilled meat skewers are served at yatai food stalls along the waterfront. Seiryu Park hosts concerts and night markets and has a popular lookout point by a 19th-century lantern-shaped tower. Bike trails run alongside the riverbanks.
