Myer Galpern Life story
Myer Galpern, Baron Galpern, DL was a Scottish Labour Party politician. Galpern was born Meyer Galpern in the Gorbals, the son of Morris Galpern, a cabinetmaker, and Anna Talisman. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia. Galpern was educated at Glasgow University and was a house furnisher.
