About Musteloidea
Musteloidea is a superfamily of carnivoran mammals united by shared characters of the skull and teeth. Musteloids share a common ancestor with the pinnipeds, the group which includes seals. The Musteloidea consists of the families Ailuridae, Mustelidae, Procyonidae, and Mephitidae.
