Muhammad Ahmad Life story
Muhammad Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Fahal Sudanese religious and political leader, in 1881 he claimed to be the Mahdi and led the Mahdist revolt against Turco-Egyptian rule. He achieved a remarkable victory in the Siege of Khartoum and founded a movement that remained influential in Sudan a century later.
