Morton Gurtin Life story
Morton E. Gurtin is a mechanical engineer who became a mathematician and mathematical physicist. He is an emeritus professor of mathematical sciences at Carnegie-Mellon University, where for many years he held an endowed chair as the Alumni Professor of Mathematical Science.
