Miriam haran married benjamin netanyahu in 1981. The couple had two children together. Son yair and daughter avner. Hte ocuple divorced in 1988.

Miriam haran has worked as a psychologist in both private practice and in the public sector. She has aslo worked as a consutlant in the field of education and has authored several books.
