Michael Pärt, sometimes spelled "Michael Paert", holds a master's degree in "Composing for Film and TV" from Kingston University in London and is a music producer and music editor. He is the son of classical composer Arvo Pärt and co-founder and chairman of the board of the Arvo Pärt Centre.
