Michael O'Higgins Life story
Michael Joseph O'Higgins was an Irish Fine Gael politician who served as Leader of the Seanad from 1973 to 1977. He served as a Teachta Dála from 1948 to 1951 and 1954 to 1969. He also served as a Senator from 1951 to 1954 and 1973 to 1977. O'Higgins was born in Straffan, County Kildare, in 1917.
