Poorest life expectancy of women is decreasing, finds report

Feb 25,2020 3:34 am

Life Expectancy among women in the poorest communities in England has fallen since 2011, says a report warning of growing health inequalities.

Overall, the Life Expectancy growth has stalled in The Last ten years, for the First Time in 100 years.

health Secretary to Matt Hancock said there was "still much to do".

The biggest price declines were in The Most disadvantaged areas of North-East England , while the largest increases were in the richest parts of London.

Similar trends can be seen across Britain, The Report said.

The Report by Prof Sir Michael Marmot , one of the country's leading experts on health inequalities, 10 Years After he, and between the North and The South , in England .

After a Decade of abstinence, the image has deteriorated.

highlights:

"England has said for a Decade ," Prof marmot lost, the call of the damage to the health of The Nation "shocking".

"to improve the health, it has ceased to be the means that the society has ceased to improve. "

The Report from The Institute of Health Equity, considers the expansion of health inequalities and deteriorating health, which have marked The Last Decade not only on a very cold Winter, flu, or problems with the NHS or social care.

Instead, it points the finger at "the social and economic conditions, many of which have increased inequality".

Prof Marmot said, similar trends can be seen across the UK, where the slow-down in Life Expectancy is even more pronounced than in most European and other high-income countries, to US.

The government needs to tackle health inequalities "as a matter of urgency" and bring down The Level of the disadvantaged areas in the North to The Level of health of People enjoyed the life in London and The South , The Report says

Labour's shadow health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth described The Report as a "devastating verdict on 10 Years of austerity under the Conservatives", and called for "urgent measures", the Prime Minister .

In a statement, Mr Hancock said: "There is still much more to do, and our fat-prevention agenda, a Record £33. 9bn a year, the investment in the NHS, and a world-leading plans for improving the health of children, to ensure that each person can lead a long and healthy life. "

'It's helped me mentally,'

In some cities, such as Coventry, projects have been Set Up , in order to bring about change, such as a support group for Sundays mothers and a centre helps People trying to find work, runs the consulting life, and application documents.

For People like Wayne Martin , a cafe offers a decent meal and a chance for families to sit together, was a lifeline in difficult times.

The Real Junk Food Café is somewhere to face meeting with similar challenges.

"It has helped me, mentally, I mean, because I suffer from depression," he said.

"One of the reasons why I started coming here was because I want to be with other People - My Own three children was hard.

"So you come here did me a little bit, and actually getting me to speak to mix with the People and with them. "

Wayne says, he began, gained a sense of community and is now volunteering in The Cafe .

The Report says that to build some local authorities and communities well to tackle health inequalities, and the government must now, following the successful examples.

His recommendations are:

"The Evidence is clear and The Solutions are there - what we need is to act on The Will ," said The Chief Executive of the public Health Foundation , Dr Jennifer Dixon.

you said, child poverty, Sure Start Children's centres and poverty, were the areas that needed immediate investment.

Shirley Cramer CBE, chief executive of the Royal Society for Public Health , said: "If the new government wants to show that it can go the conversation on 'levelling up' for the regions and groups that have been Left Behind , it must begin by paying More Than mere Lip Service to the reality of The Deep -rooted inequalities in the whole of the UK.
