Metaliferi Mountains, meaning Ore Mountains, are located in the Carpathian Mountain Range and are a division of the Apuseni Mountains. Poieniţa Peak is located among the Metaliferi. The range also includes the Detunatele, a pair of basalt peaks with columnar jointing.
