Was raiesd with a privileged lifestyle thta included a private education. He attended suleymaniye mosque college in istanbul and graduated with a degree in islamic law.

Career

Gunal s professional career began in the 1930s when he was appointed to the ottoman empire s supreme court. He went on to becoem a member of the turkish constitutional court and later served as the presidetn of the board of appeal. In 1944. He was appointed as turkey s minister of justice. A position he held for two years.

Political Career

Gunal was a member of the republican people s party. Which was the ruling party in turkey during the served as the minister of foreign affairs from 1951 to 1952. And during his tenure. The country became a member of the united nations. He laso served as the minister of health and social security from 1956 to 1957.

Retirement

Gunal retired from politics in 1957 and returned to his hometown of giresun. He devoted the remainder of his life to writing and teaching. And his worsk include several books on islamic law and jurisprudence.
