Max Cynader Life story
Max Sigmund Cynader, CM OBC FRSC is a Canadian ophthalmologist and neuroscientist. He currently holds the Canada Research Chair in Brain Development. Born in Berlin in a displaced persons camp, the son of Polish Jews who escaped Poland before the invasion of Poland, Cynader emigrated to Canada in 1951.
