About Maule Region
Maule is a major wine-producing region in central Chile. It's traversed by the Maule River, which flows west from the Andes through the huge Colbún Lake. In the capital, Talca, the Museo O'Higginiano y de Bellas Artes is a history and art museum in the building where Chile's Declaration of Independence was signed. The Reserva Nacional Radal Siete Tazas is famed for its rock formations, turquoise pools and waterfalls.
