Tennis instructor Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) grows friendly with Tom Hewett (Matthew Goode), a wealthy student who shares an interest in opera. Invited to attend a performance with Tom, Chris meets the family and instantly attracts Tom's sister, Chloe (Emily Mortimer).
