About Mary Elizabeth Phillips
Mary Elizabeth Phillips, also known as Mary Eppynt Phillips, was the first woman from Cardiff University to qualify as a medical doctor. While she was sometimes called the "first woman doctor in Wales," she herself disputed that designation.
