Mark Carlisle Life story
Mark Carlisle, Baron Carlisle of Bucklow, QC, DL, PC was a Conservative British politician and was Member of Parliament for Runcorn from 1964 to 1983 and then for Warrington South until 1987. Created a life peer in November 1987, he served as Secretary of State for Education and Science from 1979 until 1981.
