And is a renowned teacher and choreographer. She is the artistic director of the company "maritza garrido," which she formed in 2003.

Maritza garrido lecca studied ballet at the national cnoservaotry of music in lima. Peru. She also has received training in modern dnace and contemporary dance from renowned teachers such as susanne beck. Ronne pacheco and lucille kramer. Additionally. She has trained intensively in afro-peruvian dance and folklore.

She has received gratns from the national insttiute of culture of peru and the peruvian association of art critics.

Maritza garrido lecca is a renowned teacher and has been teaching dance for over 20 years. She has taught at the national conservatory of music in lima. Peru and at the university of san marcos. As ewll as at many other institutions. She has also been teaching afro-peruvian dance for oevr years.
