María Chinchilla Recinos Life story
María Chinchilla Recinos, commonly known as María Chinchilla, was a Guatemalan schoolteacher who was assassinated by the cavalry of General Jorge Ubico while taking part in a peaceful anti-government demonstration. She is honoured as a national heroine.
